ICG Will Participate In UpcomingNBAA Regional Forum In Van Nuys, California

One-day event on Thursday, March 11 will be hosted by TWC Aviation at Van Nuys Airport

NEWPORT NEWS, VA –(MARCH 4, 2010) – International Communications Group (ICG), a Newport News, Virginia-based producer of aeronautical communications systems for business and commercial aviation, will exhibit several of its Iridium satellite compatible products at the upcoming Regional Forum sponsored by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) at TWC Aviation at the Van Nuys Airport on March 11, 2010.

“ICG is committed to supporting our corporate aviation clients in the same 24/7 fashion we’ve demonstrated with our airline customers.  As leaders in the development of state-of-the-art devices that expand the capabilities and reduce the workload on the flight deck and enhance comfort and convenience in the cabin, we’re focused on ensuring safety and redundancy to pilots and productivity and accessibility to their passengers--regardless of where and when  they fly,” said Jo Kremsreiter, ICG’s Western Sales Director.  “We’re looking forward to this opportunity to display some of our key business aviation products to the NBAA Regional Forum attendees and support our dealers who will also be participating in the event,” he added.

ICG’s exhibit will include its NxtLink 120A and 220A transceivers, designed specifically to interface with most of the Control Display Units (CDUs) and Multipurpose Control Display Units (MCDUs) currently available on business aircraft, including those used by the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 system.  A low-cost CIS-100 Iridium Satellite Phone (with a Manufacturer’s Suggest Retail Price (MSRP) of $15,995), and a NxtMail server will also be featured.

The NxtLink 120A and 220A transceivers are designed to meet the needs associated with Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting Systems (ACARS), Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract (ADS-C), Controller Pilot Datalink Communications (CPDLC) and Future Air Navigation System (FANS) messaging.

The NxtMail server provides a local Wireless Access Point (WAP) in the aircraft cabin that allows WiFi capable personal devices to send and receive e-mails and browse the Internet.  It offers multiple serial ports, fax dialup data interface, Ethernet, and Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectivity and functions as an internal router and a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) server to permit access for up to 10 user devices.

ICG will provide product demonstrations throughout the day and will collaborate with its dealers to provide prospects with installation quotations, Kremsreiter noted.

International Communications Group and Dassault Falcon Jet Collaborate on Iridium Data and Voice Communications for Falcon 7X

Newport News, VA, February 12, 2010—International Communications Group (ICG) has successfully integrated its NxtLink family of Datalink capable Iridium Communications Systems, the ICS-200, 220A and 400, with Dassault Falcon Jet’s (DFJ’s) EASy Integrated Avionics System for its Falcon 7X executive jet.

“ICG has a lot of experience adapting and testing our long range communications products with various flight deck configurations,” noted Darren Emery, Manager, Customer Service and Support. “It’s a process we have routinely completed for a variety of air transport applications,” he added.

ICG’s family of data and voice capable line replaceable units (LRUs) are extremely lightweight and compact. The company produces several models designed specifically for aeronautical applications that are compliant with the Air Transport industry’s requirements to support Safety Services. “For business and commercial operators looking for Long Range Communications (LRC) solutions that enhance safety and redundancy, are economical to acquire and operate, and readily available, ICG Iridium-based products are the answer,” Emery pointed out.

ICG’s and DFJ’s joint test program was conducted to ensure the interoperability of the NxtLink and EASy components. The integrated systems will allow the flight crew to have access to conventional and emerging Datalink services including Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting Systems (ACARS), Airborne Flight Information Service (AFIS), Controller Pilot Datalink Communications (CPDLC) and Future Air Navigation System (FANS) messaging. In addition, ICG Iridium avionics provide flight deck and cabin voice services as well as Wi-Fi capable devices with global E-Mail, Instant Messenger, MS Exchange Server ActiveSync, and a variety of webmail choices via an optional ICG NxtMail server.

Dassault Falcon 7X operators can choose one of three different NxtLink Iridium Communications Systems for use with their EASy avionics suites. The ICS -200 incorporates dual Iridium transceivers and an internal CTU, offering stand alone comprehensive communications over a single coax and antenna.

The NxtLink ICS-220A is a three transceiver device which combines dual channels of global voice and 2400 BPS data service with a third “Short Burst Data” (SBD) channel in a single 2 Master Control Unit (MCU) LRU.

The NxtLink ICS-400 incorporates four Iridium transceivers with an internal CTU, providing a stand alone comprehensive communications system with connectivity to other aircraft systems.

Information bulletins for each product are available through ICG’s Web portal or upon request.
